Screenings
For those interested in enrolling their child in the early childhood center, you must call Player to first get a screening appointment. Children must be three years old before they can be screened. We generally begin taking appointments in January for our spring screenings. Depending upon the number of open spaces anticipated to fill in our various programs for the up coming school year, will determine how many screening dates will be scheduled. Additional screening dates will be added as needed. Screenings help us to make the most appropriate recommendation of a program for your child. For additional information, please feel free to contact us.
More about Screenings
The developmental screening tool that we use is called the ESI. It helps us to measure the child’s development in Visual Motor-Adaptive, Language and Cognition, and Gross Motor areas.
Developmental screenings assist us to make recommendations for programming, to identify children who may be considered at-risk, or even to help us detect children with developmental delays. They can allow for early detection of delays and improve a child health and well-being for identified children.
